About Us
Who's Running MN is a nonpartisan organization dedicated to helping Minnesota voters learn more about the candidates running in state and local elections. We produce short videos that give participating candidates an opportunity to introduce themselves, explain why they are running, and discuss the priorities they would bring to public office. We hope these resources complement existing journalism and can serve as a trusted starting point for voters researching their ballot.

For each race we cover, all officially filed candidates are invited to participate. Participation is voluntary, and each participating candidate receives the same invitation, general instructions, and standardized questions for that office.
Candidates record and submit their own videos, which are reviewed for compliance with our guidelines and edited only for technical quality and consistent formatting, before being published into organized playlists on YouTube. This consistent format allows voters to more easily compare candidates while hearing directly from each participant in their own words.
The views, opinions, and statements expressed in each video are those of the participating candidate, who remains responsible for the content of their submission.
Who's Running MN is a small organization, and our coverage may be limited. It is our goal to expand coverage over time. Coverage decisions are based on available organizational resources and production capacity.
Who's Running MN does not endorse, support, or oppose political parties, candidates, or ballot questions. Our role is to provide fair, consistent, and nonpartisan resources that are intended to help voters make informed decisions rather than influence how they vote.
We strive to treat all participating candidates fairly by using consistent participation standards and publishing information in a transparent manner. Editorial decisions are guided by our mission and are made in accordance with our published policies.
Who's Running MN is independently operated. Financial contributions help support the organization's work and future growth, but do not influence editorial decisions, candidate participation, or election coverage.
